Taylor boosts a frontside air on Sunday

OMS snowboarders competed in the second USASA freestyle weekend here at Okemo and we had some great results and a lot of progression. In slopestyle, Joey Okesson took 3rd place with some smooth style and technical tricks, Anna Valentine placed 2nd and landed her first 360 (off the first big) in an event, Peter and Will Tonkel both competed in their very first snowboard event and landed their runs, and Taylor Spaulding was just out of medal position after a buttcheck on his best cork backside 7 attempt.

In pipe, Joey upped the ante and took first with another technical run that included some stylish airs, a Mctwist, and frontside 5.  Anna placed 1st with "style for miles," and Peter Tonkel competed in his first halfpipe event which was awesome to watch.  Amanda Burnham and Taylor Spaulding both took first in their age groups.
