OMS Loonybirds

Today, January 25, 2012, the OMS snowboard team embarked on a great journey to the mountain of Loon in New Hampshire. After an exciting van ride and multiple seat changes we arrived at Loon. It was the mountain of all of our dreams. With a plethora of down rails and jump lines Loon challenged every one of our riders to snowboard at the top of their ability. After a couple warm-up runs in the junior park, the group started our excursion into Loon’s main park. The park consisted of five down rails, a wall ride, a jersey barrier, and a sweet triple jump line. Everyone was trying new tricks. At the end of our first of two epic days at Loon we headed to our hotel for some well needed rest, relaxation, and a little schoolwork.  Next we headed to an awesome pizzeria where the team filled their stomachs with greasy pizza, hot wings, garlic bread, and mozzarella sticks. Now that our hearts contents from hunger were fulfilled, we finished the day with a team pool session before heading to bed. Now we hope to get some sleep for tomorrow, psyched to ride another day at Loon.
