- I grew up all over the place. Born is San Francisco, moved to
Detroit, and then Jersey. I started snowboarding as soon as a moved to
Jersey when I was 11 years old. I remember getting knocked out the first
day, but I just couldn’t stop boarding after that I was hooked!
How in the heck did you end up at OMS?
- Well, I went to HCSC (High Cascade Snowboard Camp) and met up
with Niko Cioffi and Lucas Magoon and had a blast riding with them and
they told me about OMS and that I should go. After, 2 years of begging my
parents they finally let me go for my senior year! It was the best thing
that ever happened to me!
Tell me a little about the OG life at
School back in the day?

- Oh man! We lived on the top floor of the school and it was
awesome! I think those rooms are all class rooms now, but we had a blast.
I can’t say too much about it because it’s not appropriate! Haha! I can
say that under Niko’s bed was the grossest thing I have ever seen in my
life still to this day!
So, you had a pretty rad experience at
OMS?
- Easily one of the best times of my life! I got to travel a ton
and get to snowboard all the time! Also, I found the College I wanted to
go to when I was at OMS. We flew to Tahoe for Nationals and I get to check
out a college called Sierra Nevada College on the trip and loved it. The
next year I moved out there and started the next chapter in my life!
Where did the road take you next?
- Well like I said in the last question, I found the school I
wanted to go to. Another thing about going to a mountain school like OMS
is that you get to meet so many people and make so many connections it’s
crazy. So, when I moved to Tahoe I all ready had like 15 friends that
lived there or where going to move there for the winter.
Tell us a little about your current
involvement with East Snowboard Mag and what it's all about:
- I have always wanted to do something to give back to
snowboarding. I think you (Luke) were the one that got my siked on “giving
back to snowboarding.” We are trying hard to make sure that the magazine
represents the East Coast in the best way possible. Back in the day before
my time, the East Coast was a huge hardcore wild sense with great
snowboarding and we are trying to hold on to that! http://www.eastsnowboardmag.com/
Give us some East Coast riders that are
stoking you out right now:
- Oh man! There are so many I don’t think I could even make a
list it would be a page long.
What’s next?
- Just stay on the grind! Keep doing the Mag, keep snowboarding,
& keep get it while it’s hot!
Any words of advice for the kids here at
School?
- These are the best times of your life make it count! Try your hardest to make something of yourself, don’t let your ego get in the way, whatever you do or want to do go 100%, and most important HAVE FUN!!!
