OMS Comp Results 1.7

L-R: Jack Valentine (3rd place 15 and under),  Austin Hawkes (1st place 15 and under)
Emmett Ellmaker (3rd place 16 and up), Eric Verillo (2nd place 16 and up)

Several OMS snowboarders competed in Okemo's annual Light the Night Rail Jam this past Saturday.  The setup consisted of three features; a down c-box, a flat bar-gap-down bar, and a flat-down,flat, down (triple kink) rail.

Jack Valentine and Austin Hawkes competed in the 15 and under division and both riders put together a solid performance that consisted of technical tricks and a lot of hiking! Jack Valentine laid down some bangers that included some front boards, 50/50 to gap 180 on the triple kink,  that landed him in third place. Austin Hawkes continued his run of rail jam podiums with another solid performance on the steel. Austin's array of tricks included some backlips on the downbar and down C, switchfrontlips, an assortment of combos on the triple kink.

Emmett Ellmaker and Eric Verillo (OMS Alumni) competed in the 16 and up division and threw down an arsenal of tricks to land them in 3rd and second respectively.

On the fast track, Amanda Burnham came one step closer in her quest for a Nationals bid with a 2nd place finish in both the USASA GS and Slalom at Bromley. Nice work Amanda!
